Carlos Ernesto Guillemot Gascon from Spain did not intend to stay in Denmark after his exchange semester - but now he has lived here for more than six years. And is going for a career in a Danish company.

Carlos arrived from Spain in 2011 as an Erasmus exchange student - it was only going to be for six months and then back to Barcelona. But now he has settled in Denmark, finished his MSc in Transport and Logistics - and is pursing a career in the railway industry. And this in a genuinely Danish company - the national railway infrastructure manager Banedanmark (RailNet Denmark).

How did this all happen? Carlos will tell you - he has written a blog post on DTU's international student blog. Read it here

Facts about Banedanmark

Do you want to do as Carlos has done - and go for a career in the railway business? Banedanmark has many job postings. Although most postings are in Danish, the company has several large construction and renewal projects employing international staff. You are welcome to contact the responsible staff - or you can get advice at RailTech DTU
